1. Place the template onto the rotary cutter with the tab resting on a flap between any two of the indents. 2. Rotate the template until the tab is resting in one of the indents. Make sure the four corners of the template are in the grooves under the four overhaning flaps. You are now ready to cut the opening in the centering template. You will follow a sligntly different procedure to cut the plastic than what you will to cut paper samples. Because the plastic is thick and sturdy, the best procedure is to apply much less downward force on the crank knob and continue to turn the crank until the plastic is cut completely thru. It may take 10 to 20 turns of the crank to accomplish this. Be sure to set the cutter onto the cutting plate to do this operation.
